Every year Abbott's Performing Arts Center offers a performing opportunity for all students enrolled. Participation is optional, but strongly suggested. APAC is KNOWN for our outstanding recital productions. We have been told that they are as entertaining as a Broadway Show. This year's show should continue with the tradition! The first half of this dance year will be devoted to technique and mechanical drills. After the Christmas Holidays, we begin using the technical skills we have learned by combining them together to form concert routines. We feel that the recital performance is an essential part of dance training and a goal that our students can achieve.
The students get a real thrill and gain life long memories from performing in the recital. It is a time to show our friends and families what we have learned. We know that the parents and grandparents get a big kick out of it too!
This is APAC's 22nd year in business!
We are thrilled to be having our recital at the Stafford Centre (Performing Arts Theater and Convention Center) www.staffordcentre.com This beautiful facility is located at the intersection of Murphy Rd. and Cash Rd.

The costume fees are due by October 1. Please note that once costumes have been ordered, no refunds can be issued. If you move between now and recital, we will send the costume to your new address.
The expenses are as follows: $69.00 per costume for small and medium child sizes. $79.00 for large child and Adult size costumes. Please fill out the Costume Order Form for your child and fill in which classes they will be performing in the recital. You will also need to reference the Size Chart and Measuring Guide for accurate sizing. REMEMBER to size for the month of MAY! Please allow for growth spurts. As you will see, few children fit exactly with the size chart. I always go with the girth measurement. If you would like us to help you, we will, but we cannot be responsible for the final decision of size, because we cannot be responsible for any alterations.
WE WILL ACCEPT Credit Cards for COSTUME PAYMENTS!
I place these recital orders early in order to receive them in time for recital. I am hoping to get them in so that I can take care of all costume problems in time for pictures. I will place the orders the 3rd week of October. All orders turned in after October 1st, will have an additional fee of $10.00 per costume. I really don't want the extra money, it is just a very time consuming process, and I would like to do it all at once, rather than several times. If the orders are turned in after October 1st, we cannot guarantee that you will receive the costume in time for pictures.
Please staple your order form/size sheet and payment together and turn it into the front desk, by October 1st to secure your order. After Oct 1st, no refunds can be issued, but if you move or drop out of classes, you can pick up your costume between May 1st, and May 12th.

In addition to costumes, there is a recital fee due from each participating dancer of $140.00 ($90 for each additional family member). This fee goes toward the rental of the auditorium, backdrops, program and invitation printing costs, staff and stage crew, etc. All costs of the production (except the dress rehearsal, which is covered by regular tuition) are covered by this fee. The recital fee is separate from all costume fees. The recital fee is due by February 1. Make sure your payment notes "Recital Fee" when making payment.
I know that many families will need to budget these extra costs now in order to make it possible for your dancer to participate. I hope that be being up front with all the recital costs that you have been able to get a realistic view of the financial commitment the recital requires. You will be glad you made the investment, and I know your dancer will be too! Remember this is strictly optional, but we do have about 99% participation. If you choose not to participate, your final class of the year will be May 1st. If you have any further questions, please direct them to the front desk staff.

Ms. Brenda Bolton will again be doing our recital pictures this year. They will be taken at the studio in April. We will send home the package rates closer to the date. I expect the smallest package to run $25 and up, per costume. It is not our policy to pro-rate tuition this week, as we are allowing use of our facility and all the dance teachers will be working to help get the best shots of your dancers. Believe us, it is very hard work, we would rather be dancing!
We will offer a professional video of our recital, by Take Two Video, from Edmond, Oklahoma. They have done our videos for the past five years, and the quality is outstanding. The costs of these videos will range between $40-$100. Parents will be permitted to video tape the dress rehearsals, but not the actual performance. We will have more info on this at a later date.
We will have 3 shows in order to accommodate the large audiences we have been attracting (over 1000 per show last year!).
